Verse of the Day

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

This passage emphasizes the importance of seeing Christ in everyone we meet and serving them as we would serve Christ Himself. It teaches us that our service to those in need, especially the marginalized, is a direct reflection of our love for Jesus. Through these acts of kindness and compassion, we not only fulfill God's command but also embody His love and grace in the world.

My Prayer...

Heavenly Father, guide my heart and hands to serve You through serving others. Help me to recognize You in the faces of those in need. May I be Your instrument of love, providing food for the hungry, water for the thirsty, welcome for the stranger, clothes for the naked, care for the sick, and companionship for the imprisoned. Teach me to serve without seeking reward, knowing that in doing so, I am serving You. Amen.
