10Elisha said to him, |Go, tell him, 'You shall surely recover;' however Yahweh has shown me that he shall surely die.|

7 Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick. It was told him, saying, |The man of God has come here.|
8 The king said to Hazael, |Take a present in your hand, and go, meet the man of God, and inquire of Yahweh by him, saying, 'Will I recover from this sickness?'|
9 So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said, |Your son Benhadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, 'Will I recover from this sickness?'|
10 Elisha said to him, |Go, tell him, 'You shall surely recover;' however Yahweh has shown me that he shall surely die.|
11 He settled his gaze steadfastly on him, until he was ashamed. Then the man of God wept.
12 Hazael said, |Why do you weep, my lord?| He answered, |Because I know the evil that you will do to the children of Israel. You will set their strongholds on fire, and you will kill their young men with the sword, and will dash in pieces their little ones, and rip up their women with child.|
8:10Elisha answered, "Go and say to him, 'You will certainly recover'; but the Lord has revealed to me that he will in fact die."
8:10And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the LORD hath shewed me that he shall surely die.
8:10And Eliseus said to him: Go tell him: Thou shalt recover: bat the Lord hath shewn me that he shall surely die.
8:10And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou shalt surely recover; howbeit Jehovah hath showed me that he shall surely die.
8:10And Elisha said to him, Go, say to him, Thou wilt certainly recover. But Jehovah has shewn me that he shall certainly die.
8:10And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou shalt surely recover; howbeit the LORD hath shewed me that he shall surely die.
8:10And Elisha said to him, Go, say to him, Thou mayest certainly recover: but the LORD hath showed me, that he shall surely die.
8:10And Elisha saith unto him, 'Go, say, Thou dost certainly not revive, seeing Jehovah hath shewed me that he doth surely die.'
8:10And Elisha said to him, Go, say to him, You may certainly recover: however, the LORD has showed me that he shall surely die.
