23Why then gavest thou not my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required my own with interest?
23Why then gavest thou not my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required my own with interest?
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up what thou layedst not down, and reapest what thou didst not sow.
22 And he saith to him, Out of thy own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest me to be an austere man, taking up what I laid not down, and reaping what I did not sow:
23 Why then gavest thou not my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required my own with interest?
24 And he said to them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 (And they said to him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
19:23Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
19:23Why then didn't you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?'
19:23And why then didst thou not give my money into the bank, that at my coming, I might have exacted it with usury?
19:23then wherefore gavest thou not my money into the bank, and I at my coming should have required it with interest?
19:23And why didst thou not give my money to the bank; and I should have received it, at my coming, with interest?
19:23then wherefore gavest thou not my money into the bank, and I at my coming should have required it with interest?
19:23Then why didn't you deposit my money in the bank, and at my coming, I might have earned interest on it?'
19:23and wherefore didst thou not give my money to the bank, and I, having come, with interest might have received it?
19:23Why then gave not you my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required my own with usury?
