18But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
18But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.
16 If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?
17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18 But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
19 Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-- and shudder.
20 You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless ?
2:18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
2:18But some man will say: Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without works; and I will shew thee, by works, my faith.
2:18Yea, a man will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith apart from thy works, and I by my works will show thee my faith.
2:18But some one will say, Thou hast faith and I have works. Shew me thy faith without works, and I from my works will shew thee my faith.
2:18Yea, a man will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith apart from thy works, and I by my works will shew thee my faith.
2:18Also a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
2:18Yes, a man will say, |You have faith, and I have works.| Show me your faith without works, and I by my works will show you my faith.
2:18But say may some one, Thou hast faith, and I have works, shew me thy faith out of thy works, and I will shew thee out of my works my faith:
2:18Yes, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
