Nehemiah 5:2 - DRB -SoulScript

1 Now there was a great cry of the people, and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.

2 And there were some that said: Our sons and our daughters are very many: Yet us take up corn for the price of them, and let us eat and live.

3 And there were some that said: Let us mortgage our lands, and our vineyards, and our houses, and let us take corn be- cause of the famine.

4 And others said: Let us borrow money for the king's tribute, and let us give up our fields and vineyards:

5:2For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, [are] many: therefore we take up corn [for them,] that we may eat, and live.

5:2Some were saying, "We and our sons and daughters are numerous; in order for us to eat and stay alive, we must get grain."

5:2For there were that said, We, our sons and our daughters, are many: let us get grain, that we may eat and live.

5:2And there were that said, We, our sons and our daughters, are many, and we must procure corn that we may eat and live.

5:2For there were that said, We, our sons and our daughters, are many: let us get corn, that we may eat and live.

5:2For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.

5:2For there were that said, |We, our sons and our daughters, are many. Let us get grain, that we may eat and live.|

5:2yea, there are who are saying, 'Our sons, and our daughters, we — are many, and we receive corn, and eat, and live.'
